WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching helps you to clarify who you arewhat you really want and how to attain it. This applies in business, in life, in relationships… in everything. But unlike a typical coach in any other discipline, a life coach is not an expert that gives you answers.

We are experts in asking masterful, deep, thoughtful, and revelatory questions that empower YOU to find the answers within yourself.

A coach helps you stay focused and helps to illuminate blind spots that have previously held you back. Coaching empowers you to…

  • … discover your true, authentic self.

  • … discover your passions and what you really want in life.

  • … gain clarity and focus to produce meaningful results more quickly.

  • … determine patterns, habits and beliefs that have been holding you back.

  • … create new patterns, habits and beliefs that catapult you forward towards your goals.

  • … learn and acknowledge your own strength and capability.

  • … be even more than you thought you could be on your own.

DEFINITION OF COACHING

“Coaching is an ongoing partnership that accelerates client learning, performance, and progress in their personal & professional lives. The coach is the client’s partner and champion for success.

In each session, the client chooses the focus, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and accelerates the client’s progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where clients are today and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be tomorrow.”

— International Coach Federation

WHAT IS THE COACH’S ROLE IN COACHING?

Coaches honor the client as the expert in his or her life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach’s responsibility is to:

  • Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve

  • Encourage client self-discovery

  • Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies

  • Hold the client responsible and accountable

This process helps clients dramatically improve their outlook on work and life, while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.

HOW IS COACHING DIFFERENT FROM … ?

  • Consulting. A consultant offers you advice and best practices based on information of what has worked for other people. Coaching believes that you are naturally creative and resourceful and that YOU actually have the best answers for yourself. A coach does not provide direct advice about what you “should” do nor does the coach have any preconceived idea of what the “right” answer is for you.

  • Therapy. Coaching does not focus on problems from your past but rather on your current status and your potential for the future. Coaches believe that you are naturally whole (i.e., you aren’t broken and don’t need fixing). You may, of course, choose to address items from your past as they relate to being roadblocks for your future. *To read more about how therapy and coaching can benefit people struggling addictions, read this insightful article by The Recovery Village.

  • A good friend. A coach will ask questions and provide new perspectives that go far above and beyond what a friendly conversation will get you. Friends are good because they’ll often listen to your complaints and support your “story”. Because the nature of a coaching relationship is to assist with transformation, a coach will focus on getting past whatever “stories” that have kept you where you are and will help guide you towards where you want to go.

As YOUR storytelling + life coach, we start with the narratives you're ready to let go of so you can create new ones and bring it to life.

ARE WE A GOOD FIT?

BECAUSE I ONLY TAKE A LIMITED # OF CLIENTS,
PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM BEFORE AN INTRODUCTION CALL:

What Happens in our Coaching Appointments?

  • We will virtually meet on ZOOM. Coaching appointments begin with a chance for you to report on your progress and end with a clear set of action steps you choose to take in the week ahead. But what is that essential spark between you and your coach that makes the relationship so transformational? A coach is more than a friend and confidant, but is someone who knows you well enough to call out the best in you. A transparent relationship with your coach frees you to go to places you’ve never gone before.

  • Coaching is a Support System for Change.  With support, encouragement, and accountability from someone who believes in you, we can do far more than we’d ever accomplish alone. A coach helps you stay on track, overcome obstacles, and convert your “want-to’s” into concrete steps that are put into your schedule.

  • Coaching is Continuous Leadership Development.  Coaches don’t give solutions; we help you solve your own problems. Coaching is helping you learn instead of telling you what to do (though I'll love you enough to call you in). By leveraging every situation to build your capacity as a leader and a person, coaching prepares you to conquer much bigger challenges in the future.

You’re the driver, I'm the passenger.

I’ll help you to go deeper into excavating all the stories that are stopping you from self-actualization and take action from there. We’ll explore the strategies and support structures you need to succeed in reaching your dreams and goals, and together we’ll create a customized, systematic plan and walk it out to make your goal a reality.

are you ready?

With inspiration from Green Tara, I am committed to your transformation if you are willing to work play!
